Botanical Research Institutue of Texas- Family Movie Night

Come one, come all and enjoy a fun evening in the native Texas prairie habitat with a showing of Bee Movie.  The movie will begin at dusk but arrive early and enjoy a special appearance by the 2011 Honey Queen, Kaylynn Mansker.  She is the official spokesperson for the Texas Beekeepers Association and will have a special presentation.  Movie night is a FREE community event.  Soda, candy and popcorn will be available for purchase.

American Girl – Josefina’s Embroidered Card Craft

Your girl can stitch a traditional New Mexican floral design called colcha on an embroidery card—it’s much like the needlework Josefina would have done in 1824. This event is Free and open to the public for girls ages 8 and up.
