The Shops at Willow Bend Presents Summer Fun Thursdays in June & July
Don’t miss the first Summer Fun Thursday event on June 9 when Vocal Trash, a high octane stage group makes a return appearance to The Shops at Willow Bend. The group will provide an afternoon of music, dance, comedy and audience participation just for kids. Like a variety show with Broadway flair, Vocal Trash will present Street Show, an electrifying show for children and adults that features acapella harmonies and industrial ‘Stomp-style’ drumming. All Summer Fun Thursdays begin at 1:00 PM and will be held in Grand Court (lower level near Neiman Marcus) and are free of charge and open to the public.

Every Friday Night from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Grapevine will once again produce its exceptional fireworks show that will truly kick off he summer season in North Texas. For 15 consecutive weeks this summer, the evening skies overlooking Grapevine will be illuminated as Grapevine presents a firework spectacular every Friday night starting Memorial Day weekend and concluding Labor Day weekend.

Thursday’s through Sundays between May 27 and September 5, 2011, Gaylord Texan will feature a variety of festive events and entertainment for adults and families. Experience cowboy stilt walkers, balloon artists and more throughout the three signature atriums. You will also get to enjoy a glow in the dark juggler that illuminates the night after the sun goes down.

Children 7-12 years old can come to LLELA and learn how to cast, fish identification, basic knot-tying and much more from expert instructors. Entrance fee to LLELA is $5/person. Come watch as Camp Bowie West will be transformed into a life-sized Hot Wheels collection for a day. Get a load of a hundred of the hottest classic, custom and muscle cars at this year’s Glory Days Car Show on the Boulevard. Broadcasting live will be The Cruisers from 92.1 KTAFW. Attendees can enjoy live music by The Derailers. Public Admission is FREE.
Fort Worth Herd Cow Camp

Located behind the Historic Livestock Exchange Building. (131 E. Exchange Ave.)
Visitiors of all ages can enjoy a rootin, tootin good time while engaging in some real cowboy fun! You will learn about cattle drives, the life of a drover, observe various livestock & chuckwagon demonstrations and equipment that was used on the trail. Participants are taught roping skills and given the chance to try their hand at branding (no fire needed!), while learning about the historic use of brands. Finally, you will be able to test your speed and agility with stick horse races, sing along to camp fire songs and even learn a few dance steps!
Cost: Suggested donation $1.00 per person.
